April has the rep of being the cruelest month, yes, but not this year. And for seniors, the happiness of April won’t touch the elation of March.
For a change, seniors are a leading indicator. Setting aside first responders and those with hazardous jobs, we are the first group of regular citizens and consumers to get the Covid-19 vaccinations. Defining a senior as 65 or older, with one exception, every senior I know has had at least the first shot. In chats with senior friends in other states, this blanket coverage is widespread. Our response? Giddiness!
